Institutional real estate investment and transaction experience

Royal Oak is built on more than 18 years of experience across institutional real estate investing, structured transactions, and large-scale residential acquisitions.
That experience includes evaluating complex investment opportunities, deploying institutional capital, building acquisition capabilities, leading multidisciplinary teams, and executing transactions across multiple U.S. markets and investment strategies.
Royal Oak's team has experience including leadership roles at Goldman Sachs and Roofstock spanning institutional investment underwriting, structured finance, affordable housing, distressed real estate, residential acquisitions, and platform development.
The Challenge
The opportunity is attractive. The execution is complex.
Single-family investment requires a fundamentally different execution model from traditional commercial real estate.
At the smaller end of the market, individual transactions may not deploy enough capital to justify the time and attention required from an institutional deal team.
At scale, scattered-site portfolios, builder inventory, and programmatic acquisitions require specialized underwriting, due diligence, transaction management, and closing processes.
In both cases, execution—not investment interest—can become the constraint.
Institutions may possess the capital, strategy, and investment judgment to pursue single-family opportunities without maintaining the internal resources required to execute every transaction or strategy.
Royal Oak was built to close that gap.
The Royal Oak Approach
An Extension of Your Acquisitions Team
Royal Oak provides the specialized capabilities required to execute single-family investment strategies without requiring clients to build and manage large internal acquisition teams.

“Your investment team determines strategy and makes investment decisions. Royal Oak manages the execution.”

About
Built to Bridge Investment Strategy and Transaction Execution
Royal Oak Residential Group was founded to address a recurring challenge in institutional single-family investing: sophisticated investors may have the capital, strategy, and investment judgment to pursue attractive opportunities without maintaining the execution infrastructure required for every acquisition program.
Royal Oak fills the space between investment strategy and completed transactions. The firm combines institutional investment judgment with hands-on sourcing, underwriting, negotiation, due diligence, transaction management, and closing execution.
Royal Oak does not replace the investment manager. It extends the capabilities of one.
